Looking ahead!

Hello friends, I just wanted to drop a dev log to say a few things, as well as announcing pretty exciting stuff!

First, I wanted to say thank you for all of your kind comments and thoughtful reviews, this is my real first official game I've ever created so it means the world that you guys saying that you enjoyed it, especially the voice acting because that is where my personal focus and pride is.

I really learned a lot from the experience and needless to say, game development is tough-- because it's a lot of ideas get cut or half-baked due to the time you have, so I have a lot of respect for every single person in this jam, we made it! We did the thing together! And seeing all the submissions was truly eye opening and amazing, I can't believe the amount of talent that is here in this part of the internet, it's really inspiring.

But after the jam is finished and this game is out there, myself and a few members of our team are not yet really satisfied with the game, and before we part with our dear Old Friend, Other, and Narrator we want to spruce it up more with an update! I talked with the artist Jessey aka Dr. Punica and we both wanted to add more art in the game for a more varied experience, it is after all a visual novel!

Jessey streams doing their art as well as looking at other Spooktober submissions and visual novels in general so if you're interested, feel free to tune into the stream to show some love and support while seeing what they are up to!

Meanwhile, I asked Senaeris our lovely composer/mixer/SFX artist (a very talented individual in general)  is providing more SFX for the game, to also add the overall presentation and atmosphere of the game! I think with these two additions, Tell It Slant will be a full packaged game! I hope you will stay tuned for when that comes out. <3

But also, coming soon after this, we also wanted to go back to Butterfly Rocket Studio's previous game from Spooktober Burdock to update the art and add voice acting to the game! Remnantation who was the UI Artist for Tell It Slant wanted to add a bit more visually to the experience and B.L. McDarragh of Butterfly Rocket now believes voice acting is a great addition to their games, so whenever that is ready I hope you'll look into that as well!

That is the announcements I have for this post, thank you for your time and have a great day!
